Golf on TV: World-Class Kickoff in Dubai, PGA Season Starts in Hawaii

Shine in Dubai and start in Hawaii: The DP World Tour kicks off the International Swing, while the PGA Tour begins the new year without its usual opening event. Golf on TV is live.

The International Swing of the DP World Tour starts with the Dubai Invitational at the Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event is played in a pro-am format (60 pros, 60 amateurs), with only the pros competing for the title on Sunday. Representing Germany, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem kick off the new season.

The PGA Tour 2026 season begins unusually: Due to ongoing drought, The Sentry at Kapalua was cancelled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season. With $9.1 million in prize money and the first FedExCup points of the year at stake, defending champion Nick Taylor competes alongside past winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. German player Matti Schmid also participates.
