Spa & GolfResort Weimarer Land: A Luxurious Refuge with Three Golf Courses Soon

The splendid ensemble in Germany’s green heart, Thuringia, is like the ultimate retreat. The third golf course is coming soon.

Every room breathes the spirit of its owners. This is especially true for the Spa & GolfResort Weimarer Land. Located just 20 minutes by car from the cultural hubs of Weimar, the Grafe family has created a sanctuary where every detail reflects high quality and style.

A Special Touch of Personal Hospitality

This personal hospitality characterizes the entire resort: from the 94 rooms and suites of the hotel and seven family units, through the LindenSpa which was expanded in 2023 to 3,000 square meters featuring top wellness offerings, to the seven restaurants on site.

Seven Restaurants, Two Michelin Stars

The Masters, led by Chef Danny Schwabe, and The First, by Marcello Fabbri, each hold a Michelin star for their French and Italian haute cuisine, making the resort a unique culinary destination. The nearby town of Blankenhain offers traditional Thuringian specialties at the Güldene Zopf. Every January, the Culinary Open attracts star chefs for a walking dinner event.

Golf Courses Amid Cultural Heritage

The resort features two 18-hole golf courses: the wooded and artfully bunkered Goethe Course (5,971 meters, Par 72) set in the rolling hills where Goethe once walked, and the flatter Feininger Course (5,707 meters, Par 71) with numerous water hazards and challenging greens. The original 6,280 meter Par 73 course remains for major tournaments. Plans are underway for a third 18-hole course, enhancing the resort’s unique offering.

Additional amenities include the Königin Louise 9-hole course, the Luke Ross Hall with three Trackman golf simulators, and a FIFA-standard football training facility used by teams such as the Queens Park Rangers and Glasgow Rangers. The resort blends golf, wellness, football, and luxury hospitality to create a versatile destination.

Owner Matthias Grafe, inspired by legendary amateur golfer Bobby Jones, emphasizes the resort’s core focus on golf and plans to build a sports hotel to accommodate diverse guests year-round. His vision is to establish Weimarer Land as a top tourist destination in Thuringia, investing in the future and the summer experience.
