Spa & GolfResort Weimarer Land: A Luxurious Retreat in Germany’s Green Heart

The splendid ensemble in Germany’s green heart, Thuringia, represents the pinnacle of luxury. A third golf course is planned.

Each space breathes the spirit of its owners. Rarely is the personal touch of the creators as palpable as in the Spa & GolfResort Weimarer Land. Located just 20 minutes by car from the Goethe, Schiller and Bauhaus city of Weimar, the Grafe family has established a refuge where even the smallest detail reflects their quality standards and style.

A Special Touch of Personal Hospitality

This personal hospitality characterizes the atmosphere throughout the resort: from the 94 rooms and suites of the hotel and seven family residences, to the LindenSpa, expanded in 2023 to 3,000 square meters with high-end wellness offerings, and the seven restaurants now part of the resort.

Two Michelin-Starred Restaurants Among Seven

The Masters by Executive Chef Danny Schwabe and The First by Marcello Fabbri have each been awarded a Michelin star for their French and Italian-inspired haute cuisine, making Weimarer Land unique. The nearby town’s Güldene Zopf restaurant focuses solely on Thuringian specialties. Every January, Grafe hosts the Culinary Open, a gathering of Michelin-starred chefs for a prestigious walking dinner.

Golf Courses Named After Cultural Icons

Designed by architect Achim Reinmuth from Städler & Reinmuth Golf Design, the original 18-hole Bobby Jones Champion Course harmoniously blends into Thuringia’s gentle landscape, once roamed by the poet Goethe. By 2012, the two loops expanded into the wooded, artistically bunkered Goethe-Course (5,971 meters, par 72) and the flatter Feininger-Course (5,707 meters, par 71) with water hazards and challenging greens. The original course remains available for major tournaments.

Further Amenities and Expansion Plans

The Königin Louise 9-hole course complements golf offerings, alongside the Luke Ross Hall with three Trackman simulators. The resort also boasts a FIFA-standard football facility that has attracted English Premier League teams for training. Plans include a new 18-hole golf course on 110 hectares of forest to be added in the northeast, promising to enhance the resort’s uniqueness and appeal. This vision aims to establish the location as a major touristic hub in Thuringia.
