Spa & GolfResort Weimarer Land: A Luxurious Retreat with Stunning Golf Courses

The splendid ensemble in Germany’s green heart, Thuringia, is like the ultimate destination. A third golf course is coming soon.

Every room breathes the spirit of its owner at Spa & GolfResort Weimarer Land, located just 20 minutes by car from the cultural city of Weimar. The Grafe family has created a refuge where even the smallest detail reflects their high standards of quality and style.

A Unique Touch of Personal Hospitality

This personal hospitality shapes the entire resort’s atmosphere: from the 94 rooms and suites in the hotel and seven family apartments to the LindenSpa wellness area expanded to 3,000 square meters in 2023, and seven outstanding restaurants.

Golf Courses and Culinary Excellence

The resort boasts two Michelin-starred restaurants: Masters by Executive Chef Danny Schwabe and The First by Marcello Fabbri, offering French and Italian-inspired haute cuisine. The nearby Güldene Zopf focuses on Thuringian specialties, and the annual Culinary Open attracts renowned chefs for a walking dinner event.

Golf Courses in Picturesque Thuringia

The Spa & GolfResort features the Goethe-Course and Feininger-Course, each with 18 holes, set in the beautiful Thuringian landscape where the poet Goethe once walked. The Goethe-Course is forested and artfully bunkered, measuring 5,971 meters with a par of 72. The Feininger-Course is flatter with water hazards and tricky greens, 5,707 meters long with a par of 71. The original course remains available for major tournaments.

The resort complex includes the charming GolfHütte with golf reception, pro shop, and dining, set in buildings designed to appear over 100 years old. Additional amenities include a 9-hole Königin Louise Course and the Luke Ross Hall featuring three Trackman simulators.

Matthias Grafe, the visionary behind the resort, integrates football facilities to promote both golf and hospitality. The resort has hosted training camps for football teams such as Werder Bremen and the England national team during EURO 2024. With 450 hectares of total area, including 110 hectares of forest, the resort offers sports and leisure facilities beyond golf.

Future Expansion and Vision

A third 18-hole golf course is planned, with land already acquired and permitting underway. This addition is expected to make the resort unique in the region. Plans also include a sports hotel with 45 rooms, enhancing flexibility to serve different guest groups.

With ongoing investments and partnerships, including with the German Football Association, the Spa & GolfResort Weimarer Land aims to become a top tourist destination in Thuringia, combining luxury golf, wellness, and sports in one exceptional location. (www.golfresort-weimarerland.de)
