Sky Sport secures live rights to LIV Golf and the Asian Tour from 2026

After losing PGA Tour and DP World Tour rights, Sky Sport secures LIV Golf and Asian Tour coverage from 2026 with 600 hours live golf.

Following the loss of exclusive broadcasting rights for the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour in the German-speaking region to Telekom’s Magenta TV from 2026, Sky has now secured the rights to LIV Golf and the most important tournaments of the Asian Tour starting in 2026. Sky Sport will broadcast 30 events from both tours, totaling around 600 hours of live golf coverage.

Sky responds to rights loss with LIV Golf and Asian Tour entry

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Germany, is pleased that Sky Sport will hold long-term broadcasting rights to all four men’s Major tournaments, all five women’s Major tournaments, key women’s events, and now also the LIV Golf League as well as the Asian Tour. He states: ‘The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format offer fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and best players in the world.’

The partnership kicks off on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event ‘LIV Golf Promotions 2026’ at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, where an international field competes for three coveted wildcard spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. Among the participants are German pros Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, and Max Rottluff as well as Austrian Matthias Schwab. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast the LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

With the LIV Golf League and Asian Tour and over 1,000 hours of live golf coverage annually, Sky Sport will continue to offer an extensive golf program. The broadcasting of DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be available on Magenta TV from January 15, 2026. Those who want to follow golf live weekly and watch the major tournaments on their devices will need two subscriptions in the future.
