TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Versatility and Speed

TaylorMade introduces the new Qi4D driver lineup with four models focusing on maximum speed and compatibility, designed for increased performance.

TaylorMade brings new momentum and pace with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum speed, the new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability, covering various playing and swing types with four distinct models.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. A key feature is the newly developed carbon faces that, compared to titanium, generate more efficient ball speed while offering greater durability and longevity. Improved roll radii on the face help reduce spin rate deviations regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases face flexibility in the lower region, expanding the high-performance sweet spot and stabilizing ball speed in typical impact zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Simultaneously, the head aerodynamics have been optimized through finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures to support clean airflow throughout the swing.

Individual Customization With Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A central feature of the Qi4D series is the high level of customization. All models are equipped with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts cater to three distinct swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and are available in various flex and weight categories, enabling tailored fitting to different player types beyond standard shafts.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses

Qi4D

The base model features a quad-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Their positioning influences ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights in the front enhance ball speed, while rear placement increases stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS focuses on maximum speed and very low spin. Aerodynamic optimization of the head shape using numerical flow simulations ensures consistent airflow and clean separation at the clubhead. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and flight path adjustment.

Qi4D Max

Prioritizing forgiveness without sacrificing speed, the Qi4D Max uses aluminum to reduce weight and add adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) enable flexible center-of-gravity shifts between higher ball speed and increased stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

The Max Lite model incorporates Max technologies but emphasizes an ultra-lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers seeking to increase their clubhead speed.

The Qi4D drivers are available for pre-order from January 8, 2026, priced at €699, with availability in specialist retailers from January 29, 2026.
