TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D Driver series with four models designed for maximum speed and compatibility.
TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D drivers, bringing fresh momentum and speed. Focused on maximum velocity, the new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive customization options. Four distinct models cover various playing and swing types.
New Clubfaces and Aerodynamic Refinements
The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers yet. They feature newly developed carbon clubfaces that generate more efficient ball speed compared to titanium while being more durable and robust. Improved roll radii on the clubface help reduce spin rate deviations, regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.
An enhanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), increases flexibility in the lower clubface area. This expands the high-performance zone, stabilizing ball speed in typical strike areas. Additionally, a corrective clubface curvature complements these features. The driver heads are aerodynamically optimized with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and discreet integrated structures to promote clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Customization through Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key characteristic of the Qi4D series is a high level of individualization. All models come equipped with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustment of loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Specially developed REAX shafts are also used, designed for three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes. This enables precise matching of standard shafts to different player types.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses
Qi4D
The base model uses a quad-weight system with movable TAS weights (9g x 2 / 4g x 2). Positioning allows influencing ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights at the front promote higher ball speeds, while rear placement enhances stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS is designed for maximum speed and very low spin. Using numerical flow simulations, its head shape is aerodynamically optimized to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the clubhead’s trailing edge. Two TAS weights (15g and 4g) offer precise control over spin and ball flight.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max emphasizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Aluminum use reduces weight and creates additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13g and 4g) enable flexible center of gravity shifts between enhanced ball speed or increased stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite adopts Max model technologies but is designed with a consistently lightweight approach. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, targeting golfers seeking to increase clubhead speed.
The Qi4D drivers can be pre-ordered starting January 8, 2026, at 699 € and will be available
