TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D Driver with four models designed for maximum speed and compatibility. The new driver detailed.
TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D Drivers, bringing fresh momentum and speed. Designed for maximum velocity, the new models boast high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability, covering various playing and swing styles with four distinct models.
New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements
The Qi4D Drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon faces which provide more efficient ball speed compared to titanium, while also being more durable and robust. Improved roll radii on the face reduce spin rate deviations, regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.
An enhanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases flexibility on the lower face, expanding the high-performance area and stabilizing ball speed in typical strike zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Meanwhile, the heads’ aerodynamics have been carefully optimized with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and discreetly integrated structures that promote clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high level of customization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie, and face angle.
Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are available, tailored for three different swing characteristics—Hold, Balance, and Active—and offered in various flex and weight categories. This allows standard shafts to be specifically matched to different player types.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focus Areas
Qi4D
The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Depending on their positioning, they can influence ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights positioned forward promote higher ball speeds, while rear placement increases stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS focuses on maximum speed and particularly low spin. Numerical fluid dynamics simulations optimized the clubhead shape for smooth airflow and clean separation at the rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) enable precise adjustments of spin and trajectory.
Qi4D Max
With an emphasis on forgiveness without sacrificing speed, the Qi4D Max uses aluminum to reduce weight and expand adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) allow flexible shifting of the center of gravity between increased ball speed or heightened stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite utilizes the Max model’s technology but features an ultralight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers seeking to increase clubhead speed deliberately.
The Qi4D Drivers will be available for preorder starting January 8, 2026, priced at €699, with retail availability
