TaylorMade Qi Max & Qi Max HL: Next-Gen Game Improvement Irons

The new TaylorMade Qi Max and Qi Max HL irons offer distance, forgiveness, and design in a complete package.

TaylorMade presents the new Qi Max and Qi Max HL irons, a new generation of game-improvement irons designed for improved distance, forgiveness, sound, and feel, balancing performance with aesthetic appeal.

TaylorMade Qi Max & Qi Max HL: Next Generation of Game-Improvement Irons

A key focus was the clubface design. Due to its asymmetrical shape with a higher toe than heel, many game-improvement irons tend to deform unevenly at impact, causing cut spin and shots veering right. The Qi Max and Qi Max HL irons feature a face engineered to bend more evenly, resulting in more stable ball launches and straighter ball flight while maintaining high ball speed.

Sound, Feel, and Internal Enhancements

Beyond performance, feel was important. Both models include a sound stabilizer bar connecting the back bar with the topline, stabilizing the topline and reducing unwanted impact noises. The ECHO damping material was raised higher in the face to reduce vibrations and produce a solid sound without sacrificing impact feedback. Custom-optimized faces and new internal structures further enhance speed and consistent distance.

Two Models for Different Player Types

The Qi Max irons target players seeking distance and forgiveness in a compact design with thinner toplines, shorter blade lengths, and less offset. FLTD CG positions the center of gravity low in long irons for high launch and strong stopping power, shifting higher in short irons to aid distance control. The Speed Pocket in irons 4 through 8 stabilizes ball speed on low-face strikes. The Qi Max HL irons emphasize maximum forgiveness with larger heads, higher faces, wider soles, and beefier toplines to boost confidence. Their lofts are 3° weaker than the Qi Max, paired with ultra-light heads, shafts, and grips to aid players with slower swing speeds, enhancing clubhead speed, launch height, and stopping power.

New Design for the Qi Max and Qi Max HL Irons

Both models showcase a bright, monochrome design inspired by the P-Series. Available in steel at €183 and graphite shafts at €200 per club, pre-orders start January 8, 2026, with retail availability from January 29, 2026.
