Sky Sport Secures Live Rights to LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

After losing PGA and DP World Tour rights, Sky Sport will broadcast LIV Golf and Asian Tour with around 600 hours of live golf from 2026.Sky Sport lost the exclusive German-language broadcasting rights for the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour from 2026 to Telekom’s Magenta TV but has now secured rights to LIV Golf and key Asian Tour tournaments starting in 2026. Sky Sport will air 30 events from both tours, totaling approximately 600 hours of live coverage on television.

Sky Responds to Rights Loss with LIV Golf and Asian Tour Deal

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Germany, is pleased that Sky Sport will hold long-term broadcast rights for all four men’s Major tournaments, five women’s Major tournaments, major women’s events, and now the LIV Golf League and Asian Tour rights. He states: ‘The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format give fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and best players in the world.’

The partnership starts on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event ‘LIV Golf Promotions 2026’ at Black Diamond Ranch, Florida, where an international field competes for three coveted wild card spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. German pros Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, Max Rottluff, and Austrian Matthias Schwab will participate. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast the LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

With the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour plus over 1,000 hours of live coverage annually, Sky Sport continues to offer extensive golf programming. Coverage of DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be available on Magenta TV from January 15, 2026. Fans wishing to watch weekly live golf and major tournaments will need subscriptions to two services in the future.
