TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D drivers with four models designed for maximum speed and compatibility. The new driver detailed.
TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D drivers, bringing fresh momentum and speed. Engineered for maximum velocity, these new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability options. Four distinct models cater to different swing and player types.
New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements
The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon faces that generate more efficient ball speeds compared to titanium while being more robust and durable. Enhanced roll radii on the face reduce variations in spin rate, regardless of whether the ball strikes higher or lower on the face.
An improved Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases flexibility in the lower face area, expanding the high-performance zone to stabilize ball speed in typical impact areas. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Additionally, the head aerodynamics have been optimized with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtle integrated structures to support clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key feature of the Qi4D series is high customization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments of loft, lie, and face angle.
Specially developed REAX shafts are used, designed for three swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes. This enables standard shafts to be tailored precisely to different player types.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses
Qi4D
The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Depending on positioning, ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies can be influenced. Heavier weights forward promote higher ball speeds, while rear placement increases stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS focuses on maximum speed and very low spin. Aerodynamic optimization of the head shape via numerical flow simulations ensures smooth airflow and clean separation at the clubhead’s rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) enable precise adjustment of spin and trajectory.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max prioritizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Aluminum reduces weight and provides more adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) allow flexible center of gravity shifts between increased ball speed and greater stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite adopts the technologies of the Max model but is designed with a focus on lightness. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at players wanting to increase swing speed effectively.
The Qi4D drivers are available for pre-order from January 8, 2026, at a price of €699 and will be in retail stores from January
