TaylorMade introduces the new Qi4D drivers with four models focused on maximum speed and versatility. The driver optimized for speed in detail.
TaylorMade brings new momentum with the Qi4D drivers, designed for maximum speed with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive customization options. Four distinct models cater to different playing and swing styles.
New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements
The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date, featuring newly developed carbon faces that generate more ball speed compared to titanium, while being more durable and robust. Improved roll radii on the face reduce spin rate variations regardless of strike height.
An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), enhances face flexibility in the lower area, expanding the high-performance zone and stabilizing ball speed in typical hit areas. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature and aerodynamic enhancements including finely tuned head shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures to ensure clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Personalized Customization through Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high degree of customization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are offered, tailored to three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes, allowing standard shafts to be precisely matched to different player types.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses
Qi4D
The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Depending on their positioning, players can influence ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights at the front boost ball speed, while rear positioning enhances stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS prioritizes maximum speed and very low spin. Its head shape is aerodynamically optimized using computational fluid dynamics to ensure smooth airflow and a clean separation at the club’s rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) enable precise adjustments of spin and ball flight.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max focuses on forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Using aluminum reduces weight and adds adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) allow flexible center of gravity adjustments between increased ball speed or enhanced stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite inherits the Max model technologies but emphasizes a lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, targeting golfers aiming to increase their clubhead speed deliberately.
