TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Versatility and Speed

TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D driver lineup with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility for diverse swing types. The new driver designed for increased speed in detail.

TaylorMade presents the Qi4D drivers, bringing fresh momentum and speed. Engineered for maximum velocity, these new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability. Four distinct models cover various playing and swing styles.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon faces, which provide more efficient ball speeds compared to titanium while being more durable and robust. Improved roll radii on the face help reduce spin rate deviations regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocketâ„¢, designed through finite element analysis (FEA), increases the flexibility of the lower face, expanding the high-performance area to stabilize ball speed in typical strike zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Simultaneously, head aerodynamics have been maximized with finely tuned head shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures to support clean airflow throughout the swing.

TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is the high level of customization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve, allowing loft, lie, and face angle adjustments.

Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are used, designed for three distinct swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight categories. This enables even standard shafts to be precisely tailored to different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses

Qi4D

The base model features a quad-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Depending on their positioning, ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and shot tendencies like draw or fade can be influenced. Heavier weights placed forward increase ball speed, while rear placement enhances stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS is optimized for maximum speed and very low spin. Using numerical flow simulations, the head shape was aerodynamically optimized for a smooth airflow and clean separation at the club’s rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and trajectory adjustments.

Qi4D Max

The Qi4D Max emphasizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. The use of aluminum reduces weight and offers additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) provide flexible center of gravity shifts between more ball speed or increased stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

The Qi4D Max Lite incorporates the Max model’s technology but focuses on an ultra-lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, targeting players aiming to boost their clubhead speed specifically
