TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Speed and Versatility

TaylorMade launches the Qi4D Driver with four models designed for maximum speed and compatibility, featuring advanced technology for enhanced performance.

TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D Drivers, bringing new momentum and pace. Engineered for maximum speed, the new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability, covering various playing and swing styles across four different models.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinement

The Qi4D Drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon faces which produce more efficient ball speeds compared to titanium, while also being more durable and robust. Improved roll radii on the face help reduce variations in spin rate regardless of ball contact point height.

An enhanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases flexibility in the lower face area, expanding the high-performance zone and stabilizing ball speed in typical strike zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Additionally, the head aerodynamics are maximized with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures to support clean airflow throughout the swing.

TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high degree of customization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Specially developed REAX shafts, crafted for three swing characteristics—Hold, Balance, and Active—are available in various flex and weight classes. These allow standard shafts to be tuned precisely for different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses

Qi4D

The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 and 4 g x 2). Positioning these weights can influence ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights in the front area promote higher ball speeds, while placement towards the rear enhances stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS prioritizes maximum speed and very low spin. Computational fluid dynamics optimized the head shape to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the back of the clubhead. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise tuning of spin and ball flight.

Qi4D Max

Prioritizing forgiveness without sacrificing speed, the Qi4D Max incorporates aluminum to reduce weight and offers additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) enable flexible center of gravity shifting for either increased ball speed or enhanced stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

Utilizing the technologies of the Max model, the Qi4D Max Lite focuses on a lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers seeking to increase their clubhead speed effectively.
