Sky Sport Secures Live Rights for LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

After losing the broadcast rights for the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, Sky Sport secures the rights to LIV Golf and the Asian Tour starting in 2026 – offering around 600 hours of live golf coverage.

Sky Sport lost the exclusive broadcasting rights for the DP World Tour and PGA Tour in the German-speaking region starting in 2026 to the Telekom broadcaster Magenta TV. However, Sky has now acquired the broadcasting rights of LIV Golf and the most important tournaments of the Asian Tour from 2026. Sky Sport will broadcast 30 events from both tours, totaling around 600 hours of live coverage on television.

Sky Reacts to Rights Loss with Entry into LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Deutschland, is pleased that Sky Sport will hold the long-term broadcast rights for all four men’s majors, the five women’s major tournaments, all important women’s tournaments, and now also the rights to the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour. He says, “The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format offer fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and best players in the world.”

The partnership starts on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event “LIV Golf Promotions 2026” at Black Diamond Ranch, Florida, where an international field competes for three coveted wildcard spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. Among the participants are German pros Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, and Max Rottluff, as well as Austrian Matthias Schwab. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast the LIV Golf Promotions daily live from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Extensive Golf Coverage with LIV Golf League and Asian Tour

With the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour as well as over 1,000 hours of live coverage annually, Sky Sport continues to offer its customers a comprehensive golf program. The broadcasts of DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be available on Magenta TV from January 15, 2026. Golf fans wanting to watch weekly live golf and major tournaments on their devices will need two subscriptions going forward.
