The first official tournaments wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event sees players competing for spots. Golf on TV is live.
At the 2026 LIV Golf Promotions Event, players compete for starting spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players earn full starting positions for the 2026 LIV Golf League. Additionally, the top 10 (including ties) automatically qualify for the 2026 International Series.
The tournament is played over four rounds of stroke play. After round 1, the top 20 players and ties qualify for round 2, with scores reset. The same applies after round 2, with the top 20 advancing to rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff only occurs if needed to determine the winner or second and third places.
