Tiger Woods’ birthday party in January features top guests, a music act, and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30 and is celebrating in style. His foundation is hosting a big party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it calls for a grand celebration. Under the theme “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” about 300 guests will celebrate the milestone at The Breakers luxury resort in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to honor Tiger Woods’ achievements on and off the golf course and look to the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and longtime caddie Joe LaCava, along with other sports stars.
Event Theme and Highlights
The evening will be centered around the birthday star. The dress code is “a touch of red,” commemorating the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major winner that inspired his own clothing line. The dinner menu is inspired by the meals Tiger enjoyed at the Champions Dinners following his five Masters wins, including elements from his McDonald’s-inspired menu at his first Masters victory, featuring cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap the night, which also has its own sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young.
Supporting a Good Cause
The event not only celebrates Tiger Woods’ 50 years but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise 50 million dollars during the evening to expand its TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
