Tiger Woods’ birthday party in January will feature a star-studded guest list, top music act, and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and to celebrate this milestone, his foundation is hosting a grand party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
A golf legend turning 50 calls for a grand celebration. Under the theme “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” around 300 guests will gather for the event held at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event, organized by Woods’ TGR Foundation, aims to celebrate Tiger Woods’ achievements on and off the golf course and to look ahead to the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas, Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, and other prominent figures from the sports world.
The Theme
The evening will focus entirely on the birthday honoree. The dress code is “a touch of red,” in homage to the iconic final outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his own clothing line. The menu will be inspired by the Champions Dinner menus that Tiger enjoyed after his five Masters victories, including elements reminiscent of the McDonald’s-inspired menu from his first Masters win, featuring cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. The evening will be topped off by a performance from Jon Bon Jovi, and the event is presented by the title sponsor Ernst & Young.
The Cause
The event not only celebrates 50 years in the life of Tiger Woods but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise 50 million dollars during the evening to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
