With a star-studded guest list, top musical act, and a title sponsor, Tiger Woods’ January birthday celebration is set to impress.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and his milestone birthday will be celebrated in grand fashion. His foundation is hosting a large party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
A golf legend like Tiger Woods turning 50 deserves a big celebration. Under the motto “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” about 300 guests will gather for a lavish party at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is hosted by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to honor Tiger Woods’ achievements on and off the golf course and look into the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas, Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, and other prominent figures from the sports world.
The Theme
The evening will center around the birthday honoree. The dress code is “a touch of red,” in remembrance of the iconic final round outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his own clothing line. The evening’s menu is inspired by the dishes Tiger was served at the Champions Dinner after his five Masters victories. This could include elements from the McDonald’s-themed menu of his first Masters win, when Woods served cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will round off the evening, which even has its own sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young is presenting the event.
A Worthy Cause
The event is not only celebrating 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also marking the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million during the evening to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics), career-related programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
