The first official tournaments wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event is underway, with players competing for spots. Live on TV.
At the LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026, players compete for starting spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players will earn full starts in the 2026 LIV Golf League. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the 2026 International Series.
The event is played over four rounds of stroke play. After round 1, the top 20 players and ties qualify for round 2, and scores are reset. The same applies after round 2, with the top 20 advancing to rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 use cumulative scoring. A playoff will only occur if needed to determine the winner or the second and third places.
