The first official tournaments must wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event sees players competing for spots. Golf on TV coverage is live.
At the LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026, players compete for starting spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players of the tournament will earn full starting spots for the LIV Golf League 2026. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the International Series 2026.
The tournament is played over four rounds of stroke play. After the first round, the top 20 players and ties qualify for round two, with scores reset. The same applies after round two, when again the top 20 advance to rounds three and four. Rounds three and four are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff only takes place if necessary to determine the winner or the second and third places.
