The first official tournaments wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event offers players a chance to qualify. Golf on TV covers it live.
The LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026 will see players compete for starting spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The tournament’s top three players will earn full starting spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) will automatically qualify for the 2026 International Series.
The event is played over four rounds of stroke play. After Round 1, the best 20 players and ties qualify for Round 2, with scores reset. The same applies after Round 2, where again the top 20 players advance to Rounds 3 and 4. The final two rounds are cumulative scoring. A playoff occurs only if needed to determine the winner or the second and third places.
