The first official tournaments wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event starts as players compete for qualification spots. Golf on TV is live.
At the LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026, players will battle for starting spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The event takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players of the tournament will earn full starting places for the 2026 LIV Golf League. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the 2026 International Series.
The tournament is played over four rounds of stroke play. After round 1, the top 20 players and ties advance to round 2, with scores reset. The same applies after round 2, where again the top 20 advance to rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff only occurs if needed to determine the winner or the second and third places.
