The first official tournaments wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event starts with players aiming to qualify. Live on TV.
The LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026 will see players competing for starting spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players of the tournament earn a full start spot for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the 2026 International Series.
The event is played over four rounds of stroke play. After round one, the top 20 players and ties advance to round two, with scores reset. The same applies after round two, with the top 20 moving on to rounds three and four. The last two rounds are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff only occurs if necessary to determine the winner or the second and third place positions.
