The first official tournaments are still a week away, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event for player qualification is live on TV.
The LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026 sees players compete for spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament is taking place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players will earn full starting positions for the 2026 LIV Golf League. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) will automatically qualify for the 2026 International Series.
The format is a four-round stroke play competition. After round 1, the top 20 players and ties advance to round 2, with scores reset. The same applies after round 2, with the top 20 advancing to rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff is only held if needed to determine the winner or second and third places.
