Callaway has unveiled the new Chrome Tour Family golf balls, featuring the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft models.
On Tuesday, Callaway officially introduced the 2026 generation of its premium golf balls, expanding its portfolio to include the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft. These new models are designed for ambitious golfers who seek tour-level performance, consistent ball flights, and precise feel. The pre-sale starts on January 6 at 3 p.m., with global availability beginning January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
At the core of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. Central to this development is the new Tour Fast Mantle, featuring an optimized core and layer system that delivers increased ball speed and extra distance. The goal is consistent performance across all clubs. This is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which reportedly enables a high, stable ball flight with exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot.
Another key element is Precision Technology, representing a holistic design, manufacturing, and testing approach to ensure the golf ball produces reproducible results and maximum reliability for players.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Detailed Tour Performance
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are 4-piece golf balls positioned clearly in the tour segment. Both versions use a Precision Tour Urethane Cover, providing excellent control and feel especially in short-game situations. The Chrome Tour features a medium feel and combines low spin on long shots with high spin around the green and high workability.
The Chrome Tour X targets players who prefer a slightly firmer ball feel, prioritizing control, consistency, and playability, complemented by a performance-optimized design within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the family as a 3-piece golf ball. It continues its reputation for combining outstanding tour performance with an exceptionally soft feel. Callaway employs a urethane cover engineered for high spin rates in the short game and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft is aimed at players who desire a soft feel without sacrificing performance.
Pricing and Market Launch
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will retail for €65 per dozen.
With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway reinforces its commitment to providing cutting-edge golf ball technology that caters to high performance demands, differentiated by player type but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
