Srixon ZXiR: New Irons Offering Greater Support in Long Game

Srixon expands its iron lineup for golfers seeking more support in their long game.

With the new ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons, Srixon raises the bar in the game-improvement iron segment, or better said: broadens it. These models cater to golfers looking for more assistance and comfort in their long shots. Some want more distance, others seek more control or simply a better feel at impact. With these new options, Srixon completes the series and eases the entry into the ZXi iron world by combining an especially soft impact feel with high forgiveness.

Srixon: New Material, New Feel

At the core of the development is a new material: i-ALLOY. According to Srixon, it is about ten percent softer than standard 431 stainless steel, leading to less vibration and a softer feel at impact. Combined with an updated face technology called the MainFrame pattern, it provides a smoother feel along with higher ball speed. Additionally, the redesigned face places the sweet spot exactly where most players need it.

Visually, the irons stay true to their identity: cavity-back design, slim topline – the new irons carry the distinctive ZXi series style but with some adjustments. Wider soles, longer faces, and more offset aim to provide confidence and better feel at address. The HL variant is specifically developed for players with slower swing speeds, focusing on higher launch angles, helping those needing additional assistance getting the ball airborne.

Fitting and Selection – Beyond Standard

The ZXi family has now grown to seven models, offering practically the right tool for every swing profile. As with previous models, Srixon emphasizes variability with the ZXiR irons. Shaft options from KBS, grips from Golf Pride, and numerous combinations provide everything clubfitters and players need to optimize their setup. The new irons will be available for pre-order through fittings starting December 4, 2025. Official sales launch is February 6, 2026. The price for a set of six irons is 1,049 euros—available in both steel and graphite shafts.
