Srixon ZXiR: New Irons Offering More Support in Long Game

Srixon expands its iron lineup for golfers seeking more support in their long game.

With the new ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons, Srixon raises the bar in the game-improvement iron segment—actually, it broadens it. These models target all who want a bit more assistance and comfort in their shots. Some seek more distance, others more control, or simply a better feel with the club. The new variants provide fresh options without compromising design, rounding out the series and easing the entry into the ZXi iron world by combining a notably soft feel with high forgiveness.

Srixon: New Material, New Feel

At the core of this development lies a new material: i-ALLOY. According to Srixon, it is about ten percent softer than conventional 431 stainless steel, resulting in fewer vibrations and a softer impact feel. Combined with a revamped face technology called the MainFrame pattern, it creates a smoother impact feel while enhancing ball speed simultaneously. Additionally, the refined face technology positions the sweet spot exactly where most golfers need it.

The irons visually remain true to form: cavity-back design, slim topline—the new irons carry the signature of the ZXi series, but with some enhancements. Wider soles, longer faces, and more offset aim to deliver a confident feel especially at address. The HL version additionally targets golfers with slower clubhead speeds, focusing on higher launch angles for those needing extra help getting the ball airborne.

Fitting and Selection – Beyond Standard

The ZXi family now grows to seven models, offering virtually every swing profile the perfect tool. As with prior models, Srixon emphasizes variability in the ZXiR irons. Shaft options from KBS, grips from Golf Pride, and numerous customization combinations provide everything club fitters and players require to optimize their setups. The new irons are available for pre-order through fittings starting December 4, 2025, with the official sales launch on February 6, 2026. The price for a set of six irons is €1,049, available in both steel and graphite shafts.
