LIV Golf Promotions 2026: New Opportunities for Kieffer, Bachem & Co.

At the LIV Golf Promotions in Florida, several German-speaking pros compete for three spots in the 2026 LIV Golf League.

From January 8 to 11, the competition heats up in Lecanto, Florida. The LIV Golf Promotions bring together almost 90 players from 24 countries, all aiming for one of three wild-card spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League. The path includes four rounds of stroke play, with a new cut each day and fresh opportunities. Those who advance to the weekend compete for a total prize fund of 1.5 million US dollars and a place in the global LIV Golf circuit. Ultimately, three spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League are at stake, including guaranteed starts at all 13 events. Ten additional players secure entry to the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Seize the Chance?

The field includes tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers. For some competitors, it is about a comeback; for others, a breakthrough. Among them, five German-speaking participants see this event as a true opportunity and potentially the start of a new chapter.

Max Kieffer Facing the Next Chapter

For Max Kieffer, this event may be his most important appearance since his 2022 DP World Tour victory. After 13 years in the European top tier, Kieffer lost his tour card, and 2025 did not go as planned. He dropped in rankings and missed Q-School. Now, it’s LIV Golf. The Düsseldorf native brings experience and determination, stating recently, ‘We’re not done yet.’ Florida will reveal how far his comeback can go.

Foos, Bachem, Rottluff, Schwab: Each with Their Own Story

Dominic Foos attracted attention with an Asian Tour victory in 2025. Consistent play and international experience paved his way into the promotions. For the 28-year-old, joining the LIV Golf League would be both a sporting step up and a spotlight onto the tour.

For Nick Bachem, 2025 ended bitterly: injury, poor form, and last place at Q-School. Yet, he is known for resilience and has proven he can win at a top level. Similarly, Matthias Schwab missed the Q-School final round and thus realistic chances for a tour card. After years on the PGA and DP World Tours, he is now seeking a new path—LIV Golf could offer that. Maximilian Rottluff approaches the LIV Golf Promotions with a unique perspective; last year, he qualified for the Asian Tour’s International Series through this very tournament.

Famous Names and Open Chapters at LIV Golf

The international field includes many renowned names in global professional golf, such as Ryder Cup participant Chris Wood (England) and five-time DP World Tour winner Alex Levy (France). Miguel Tabuena (Philippines), a top-three finisher in the 2025 International Series, and Pablo Ereno (Spain), formerly ranked among the top ten amateurs worldwide, also compete. Christopher Wood (Australia), current leader of the PGA Tour of Australasia, is part of the lineup. Former
