LIV Golf Promotions 2026: New Opportunities for Kieffer, Bachem & Co.

Several German-speaking pros compete for three spots in the LIV Golf League 2026 at the LIV Golf Promotions in Florida.

From January 8 to 11, it will get serious in Lecanto, Florida. The LIV Golf Promotions gather almost 90 players from 24 countries – all with one goal: to secure one of three wild-card spots for the LIV Golf League 2026. The path leads over four stroke-play rounds, with a new cut each day and new chances every day. Those who make it to the weekend compete for a total prize pool of 1.5 million US dollars and a place in the global LIV golf circus. In the end, three spots for the LIV Golf League 2026 await, including guaranteed starts at all 13 events. Ten more players will earn starts for the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Take the Chance?

Whether tour winners, former LIV players, or newcomers, a high-caliber field assembles here. For some players it’s about a comeback, for others it’s about their first big breakthrough. Among them: for five German-speaking participants, the event represents a real opportunity and perhaps the beginning of a new chapter.

Max Kieffer Before the Next Chapter

For Max Kieffer this event may be the most important appearance since his victory on the DP World Tour in 2022. After 13 years in Europe’s top tier, his tour card is gone. The 2025 season did not go as planned. Kieffer fell in the rankings and missed Q-School. Now it’s LIV Golf. The Düsseldorf native brings experience and the clear attitude that it’s not over yet: \”We’re not done yet,\” he recently wrote. Florida will show how far the way back really is.

Foos, Bachem, Rottluff, Schwab: Each with Their Own Story

A different approach but a similar goal: Dominic Foos attracted attention in 2025 with a tournament win on the Asian Tour. Consistent play and international experience paved his way into the promotions. Now he wants more. For the 28-year-old, a jump into the LIV Golf League would not only be a sporting step up but also a catapult into the tour spotlight.

For Nick Bachem, 2025 ended bitterly: injury, loss of form, last in Q-School – the year did not go as planned. But those who know the 26-year-old know he won’t get discouraged so quickly. Bachem has already shown he can win at top level. Similarly for Matthias Schwab: the Austrian missed the Tour School final round and thus any realistic chance for a tour card. After years on the PGA and DP World Tour, he is now searching for a new path – LIV Golf could offer that. Maximilian Rottluff approaches the LIV Golf Promotions with his own perspective. The 32-year-old qualified last year via this very tournament for the International Series on the Asian Tour.
