LIV Golf Promotions 2026: New Opportunities for Kieffer, Bachem & Co.

Several German-speaking pros compete for three spots in the LIV Golf League 2026 at the LIV Golf Promotions in Florida.

From January 8 to 11, the LIV Golf Promotions in Lecanto, Florida, will feature nearly 90 players from 24 countries, all competing for three wild-card spots in the LIV Golf League 2026. The competition involves four rounds of stroke play with daily cuts and fresh chances. Those who reach the weekend compete for a total prize fund of $1.5 million and a place in the global LIV Golf circuit. Three spots grant entry to all 13 LIV Golf League events, while ten others secure starts in the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens Doors – Who Will Seize the Opportunity?

The field includes tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers aiming for either a comeback or their breakthrough. Five German-speaking participants see this event as a crucial opportunity and potentially the start of a new chapter.

Max Kieffer and Other German-speaking Players in the Spotlight

Max Kieffer faces perhaps his most important challenge since his 2022 DP World Tour victory. After 13 years on Europe’s top tour, he lost his card and struggled in 2025, missing Q-School. Now, LIV Golf offers a new path. Kieffer brings experience and determination, stating, “We’re not done yet.” Florida will show how far his comeback can go.

Dominic Foos, who won an Asian Tour event in 2025, aims to leverage his consistent play and international experience to break into the LIV Golf League, which would elevate his career and visibility. Nick Bachem endured a tough 2025 with injuries and poor form but remains resilient. Matthias Schwab, after missing the final stage of Q-School and losing realistic chances on PGA and DP World Tours, is searching for a fresh start in LIV Golf. Maximilian Rottluff, who qualified last year for the Asian Tour’s International Series through this same event, also returns with his unique perspective.

Notable Names and Open Chapters at LIV Golf Promotions

The international field features prominent global pros including Ryder Cup player Chris Wood (England), five-time DP World Tour winner Alex Levy (France), and Miguel Tabuena (Philippines), a top-three International Series finisher in 2025. Pablo Ereno (Spain), formerly among the top ten in the amateur world rankings, and Christopher Wood (Australia), leading the PGA Tour of Australasia, also compete. Former LIV Golf players such as Anthony Kim, Matt Jones, and Ben Campbell use the promotions to secure their spots for the 2026 season.
