The 2025 season is coming to a close. We look back at the greatest highlight shots of the year and remember the unique moments of 2025 – the year in review.
As the 2025 season ends, it’s time to reflect. With the European team’s Ryder Cup success, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam, and many more highlights, there’s plenty to remember this year. Often, the individual shots leading to these achievements go unnoticed, yet they are as spectacular as the victories themselves. This year again featured legendary shots that players and fans alike will remember for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s Shot on Hole 15 at the Masters
Probably the most legendary shot of the year came this year on the 15th hole at the Masters. After 14 holes, Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg. His tee shot drifted slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green for his second shot on the par-5 hole. While most players would have played safe to secure par, McIlroy took full risk and hit an enormous draw towards the green, landing just beside the flag. A shot that not only demonstrated the Northern Irishman’s skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam this year.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with Albatross at the US Open
Oakmont is known as one of the toughest courses in the world, and the US Open is a tournament where a round under par gives you a chance to win. Patrick Reed’s fourth hole at this year’s US Open was all the more incredible. On the 568-meter par-5, he used his fairway wood for his second shot and holed out from 261 meters for an albatross. It was only the fourth albatross in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
