The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back at the biggest highlight shots and memorable moments of the year – the yearly review.
As the 2025 season closes, it’s time to look back. With the European team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam, and many other highlights, there is much to remember. Often, the individual shots behind these successes are overlooked, yet they are as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year again brought legendary shots that players and fans will remember for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s Shot on Hole 15 at the Masters
Probably the most legendary shot of the year came on the 15th hole at the Masters. After 14 holes, Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg. His tee shot went slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green for his second shot on this par-5. While most players would have played it safe to secure par, McIlroy took full risk and played a massive draw towards the green, landing just beside the pin. This shot demonstrated not only his skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam this year.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with Albatross at the US Open
Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the world, and the US Open is a tournament where shooting under par is already a challenge. Patrick Reed’s incredible shot on the 4th hole at this year’s US Open was nothing short of historic. On the 568-meter par-5, he hit his second shot with a fairway wood from 261 meters and scored an albatross—only the fourth in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
