Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with a larger player field. Moving forward, 57 players will be part of the league, compared to a smaller roster previously. The league features 13 teams, each with four players. The field is supplemented by 5 wildcards who compete independently from teams but are guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct spots for the 2026 season will be awarded, up from two spots previously available via this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Platform for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place January 8-11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This event serves as the key qualifier and is conducted as a 72-hole stroke play tournament with a unique tiered system featuring multiple score resets, creating a dynamic competition.

On day one, the top 20 players plus ties advance to day two, after which scores are reset. Day two’s field is bolstered by automatically qualified players, and again the top 20 plus ties move on. Scores reset once more prior to day three, culminating in a 36-hole total over days three and four determining final ranking. The top three players earn spots in the LIV Golf League, and the top ten receive full exemptions to the 2026 International Series.
