Rory McIlroy’s Shot on the 15th at the Masters

Arguably the most legendary shot of the year happened this season at the Masters’ 15th hole. Rory McIlroy was tied after 14 holes with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg. His tee shot went slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green on the Par 5. While most would play it safe to secure a par, McIlroy took a full-risk approach and hit an incredible draw that landed just beside the pin. This shot showcased not only McIlroy’s skill but also his remarkable determination in 2025 to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam.

Patrick Reed Makes History with an Albatross at the US Open

Oakmont is considered one of the toughest golf courses worldwide, and the US Open is an event where shooting under par can already make you a contender. Patrick Reed’s second shot on the par-5 fourth hole at this year’s US Open was astonishing. From 261 meters, he holed his fairway wood on a 568-meter long Par 5 to score an albatross. This was only the fourth time in US Open history and the first time ever at Oakmont that an albatross was made.
