The 2025 season comes to an end. We look back at the greatest golf shot highlights and unforgettable moments of 2025 – the year in review.
With the close of the 2025 season, it’s time to reflect. From Europe’s Ryder Cup victory to Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam achievements and many more highlights, there is much to remember. Rarely do we recall the individual shots that led to these triumphs, yet often the shots themselves are as spectacular as the successes they brought. This year once again featured legendary shots that players and fans will remember for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s No. 15 Shot at the Masters
Perhaps the most legendary shot of the year came at the Masters’ 15th hole. Rory McIlroy was tied after 14 holes with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg. His tee shot veered slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green for his second shot on the Par 5. While most would have played it safe to improve position and secure par, McIlroy went all in, executing a massive draw towards the green that landed just beside the pin. This shot not only showcased his skill but also his fierce determination to win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam.

Patrick Reed’s Albatross at the US Open Makes History
Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses globally and the US Open as a tournament where shooting under par is a chance at the title. Even more incredible was Patrick Reed’s shot on the fourth hole at this year’s US Open. On the 568-meter Par-5, Reed took a 261-meter second shot with his fairway wood and holed it for an albatross—the fourth albatross in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
