Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will start the 2026 season with a larger field. Previously smaller, the league will now feature 57 players. Each of the 13 teams will consist of four players. The field is complemented by 5 wildcard players who will compete independently from the teams but have guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct entries to the 2026 season will be awarded, up from two in previous qualification formats.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Platform for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will be held from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The tournament serves as the main qualification event and is played as a 72-hole stroke play. A special tiered system with multiple score resets creates a dynamic competition format.

On day one, the top 20 players and ties qualify for day two, after which scores are reset. The field on day two is supplemented by automatically qualified players, and again the top 20 and ties advance.

Before day three, scores reset again. A 36-hole scoring over days three and four then determines final standings. The top three earn a spot in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full status for the International Series 2026.
