The 2025 season is ending. We look back at the biggest highlight shots and memorable events of the year – the annual review.
As the 2025 season concludes, it’s time to reflect. With the European team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam, and many other highlights, there is much to remember this year. Often, the individual shots that led to success are overlooked, yet these shots can be as spectacular as the triumphs themselves. This year again brought legendary shots that players and fans alike will remember for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s Shot on Hole 15 at the Masters
Probably the most legendary shot of the year came this year on hole 15 at the Masters. After 14 holes, Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg. His drive went slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green on this par-5 hole for his second shot. While most players would play safe to secure par, McIlroy took a huge risk and hit an enormous draw toward the green, landing the ball close to the flag. A shot that not only showcased his skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam this year.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with Albatross at the US Open
Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the world, and the US Open is a tournament where shooting under par can give contenders a shot at the title. Even more incredible was Patrick Reed’s performance on the 4th hole at the 2025 US Open. On the 568-meter Par 5, Reed took his fairway wood for the second shot and holed it from 261 meters for an albatross — only the fourth in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
