Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will start the 2026 season with an enlarged field. Previously smaller, the league will now include 57 players. They will compete in 13 teams with four players each. Additionally, five wildcards will participate independently of the teams but have guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will grant three direct entries to the season, up from two previously available through this qualifying format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars
The third LIV Golf Promotions event will be held from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This central qualifying tournament is a 72-hole stroke play event featuring a special tiered scoring system with multiple score resets, creating a particularly dynamic competition.
On the first day, the top 20 players and ties qualify for day two, after which scores are reset. Day two includes automatically qualified players, with the top 20 and ties advancing once more.
Before day three, scores reset again. A 36-hole ranking over days three and four determines final standings. The top three earn a place in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full starting rights for the 2026 International Series.
