The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with an enlarged player field. Going forward, the league will feature 57 players, increased from a smaller previous roster. The competition will consist of 13 teams, each with four players. Additionally, five wildcard players will participate independently of teams but will have guaranteed spots in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will award three direct tour cards for the season, up from two in prior seasons. This qualification format provides fresh paths for emerging players to secure tour status.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions is scheduled from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This 72-hole stroke play tournament features a unique tiered scoring system with multiple score resets, enhancing competitive dynamics.

On day one, the top 20 players plus ties advance to day two, followed by a score reset. The field is supplemented by automatically qualified players before the top 20 and ties progress to the next round. Scores reset again before day three. A 36-hole total over days three and four determines final standings. The top three players earn spots in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full starting privileges in the 2026 International Series.
