Top Golf Events in 2026: Majors, Solheim Cup & Key Tournaments

Majors, Solheim Cup, and four major events in the German-speaking region highlight the key golf dates of 2026. 

The 2026 season offers golf fans a packed calendar, featuring prestigious men’s and women’s Majors, the Solheim Cup, and tournaments across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. 

Men’s Majors: Tradition, Prestige, and Iconic Venues

The men’s Major season kicks off traditionally with the legendary Masters held from April 9-12. Rory McIlroy, who in 2025 became the sixth player and first European to achieve a career Grand Slam by winning the Masters, will return as the defending champion at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA. The PGA Championship follows from May 4-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Pennsylvania. Summer begins with the US Open from June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, where American J.J. Spaun claimed the title on home soil in 2025. The men’s Major season concludes traditionally with The Open from July 16-19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. Scottie Scheffler, after winning the PGA Championship, secured his second Major title of the year at The Open last season.

The Five Women’s Majors and the Solheim Cup

The women’s golf schedule in 2026 is equally exciting. It begins with the Chevron Championship in Texas from April 23-26. About six weeks later, the US Women’s Open presented by Ally takes place from June 4-7 at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. In 2025, Swedish golfer Maja Stark celebrated her first Major victory and the first European title at the US Women’s Open in 19 years. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship follows from June 25-28 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. July brings the Amundi Evian Championship from July 9-12 at Evian Resort Golf Club, France, and the Major season concludes at the AIG Women’s Open from July 30 to August 2 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England. A special highlight in 2026 is the Solheim Cup, the biggest women’s team event held every two years. It will be played from September 11-13 at Bernards Golf in Den Bosch, Netherlands, with notable European players such as Anne Van Dam, Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Hedwall, and Mel Reid confirmed for Team Europe.

Four Key Tournaments in the German-speaking Region

Fans in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can look forward to top-tier tournaments. Those wanting to experience the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour live can attend four tournaments in the region. On the DP World Tour, the Austrian Alpine Open will be held from May 28-31 at Golfclub Kitzbühel Schwarzsee-Reith in Kitzbühel. Another highlight is the BMW International Open from July 2-5 at Golfclub München Eichenried, where 17 German-speaking players participated in 2025.
