LIV Golf Expands 2026 Field to 57 Players with New Qualifiers

LIV Golf continues to grow in 2026, expanding the field to 57 players with new qualification paths and wildcards.

Starting with the 2026 LIV Golf season, 57 players will compete for points, victories, and team success, made possible by additional wildcards and new qualification opportunities.

Field Grows to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will feature an expanded field of 57 players in 2026, up from a smaller roster in previous seasons. Thirteen teams will each have four players, while the field will also include five wildcard players competing independently but with guaranteed spots in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

Three direct season starts for 2026 will be granted through LIV Golf Promotions, an increase from the previous two spots available via this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Stage for Rising Talent

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place January 8–11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This central qualifying event uses a 72-hole stroke play format with a unique tiered scoring system featuring multiple score resets to maintain competitive dynamics.

On day one, the top 20 players plus ties qualify for day two. Scores reset for day two, which includes automatically qualified players, with the top 20 plus ties advancing again. Before day three, scores reset once more, and a 36-hole scoring over days three and four decides final placements. The top three finishers earn a spot in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full starts for the 2026 International Series.
