The 2026 season offers golf fans a packed calendar full of prestigious events. From the men’s and women’s Majors to the Solheim Cup and tournaments in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, there is much to look forward to.

Men’s Majors: Tradition, Prestige and Iconic Venues

The men’s Major season kicks off traditionally from April 9-12 with the legendary Masters. Following Rory McIlroy’s historic career slam achieved with his 2025 Masters win, he returns as defending champion at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA. In mid-May, the PGA Championship takes place from May 4-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Pennsylvania. The summer continues with the US Open from June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Southampton, New York, where 2025 champion J.J. Spaun triumphed on home soil. The Major season concludes traditionally with the Open from July 16-19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. Scottie Scheffler, after winning the PGA Championship, claimed his second Major of the year at the Open in the previous season.

Women’s Majors and the Solheim Cup

The 2026 women’s golf calendar is equally thrilling, starting with the Chevron Championship from April 23-26 in Texas. Approximately six weeks later, the US Women’s Open presented by Ally takes place June 4-7 at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. Swedish player Maja Stark secured her first Major and the first European title in 19 years at the 2025 US Women’s Open. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship follows from June 25-28 at Hazeltine National Golf Club, Chaska, Minnesota. July features the Amundi Evian Championship from July 9-12 at Evian Resort Golf Club in France, leading up to the AIG Women’s Open from July 30 to August 2 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England. A highlight of 2026 is the biennial Solheim Cup, the premier women’s team event, held September 11-13 at Bernards Golf in Den Bosch, Netherlands. Team Europe includes notable players such as Anne Van Dam from the Netherlands, as well as Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Hedwall, and Mel Reid.

Four Tournaments in the German-Speaking Region

Golf fans in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland will enjoy four major tournaments on the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour. The DP World
