Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will start the 2026 season with an enlarged field. Going forward, 57 players will be part of the league, an increase from the previously smaller roster. Thirteen teams will each field four players, complemented by five wildcard players who compete independently of teams but have guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct spots for the 2026 season will be awarded, an increase from the previous two spots available via this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Stage for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This tournament serves as the central qualification event, played as a 72-hole stroke play with a unique tiered scoring system featuring multiple score resets to keep the competition dynamic.

On day one, the top 20 players and ties advance to day two, after which scores are reset. The field is supplemented by automatically qualified players for day two, where again the top 20 and ties move on. Another score reset happens before day three, and a 36-hole combined scoring over days three and four determines final standings. The top three earn a spot in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten gain full playing rights in the 2026 International Series.
