Field Grows to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with an expanded field of 57 players, up from previous smaller fields. The league will feature 13 teams, each with four players. The field will also include 5 wildcard players who compete independently of teams but have guaranteed starts in all 13 regular-season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will grant three direct entry spots to the season, an increase from the previous two spots available through this qualifying format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars
The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place January 8–11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This central qualification event is a 72-hole stroke play competition featuring a unique stage system with multiple score resets, adding dynamic competition.
On day one, the top 20 players and ties advance to day two, after which scores are reset. The field is supplemented by automatically qualified players, and again the top 20 and ties move on. Before day three, scores are reset once more. A 36-hole scoring phase over days three and four determines final rankings. The top three players earn a spot in the LIV Golf League, and the top ten gain full status for the 2026 International Series.
