The 2025 season is drawing to a close. We look back at the season’s greatest highlight shots and unforgettable moments – the year in review.
As the 2025 season ends, it is time to look back. With the European team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam, and many other highlights, there is much to remember from this year. Often, the individual shots leading to these successes are overlooked. Yet, these shots are often as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year again brought legendary shots to remember for both players and fans.
Rory McIlroy’s Shot on 15 at the Masters
Perhaps the most legendary shot of the year came at the 15th hole of the Masters. Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg after 14 holes. His tee shot veered slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green for his second shot on the par-5 hole. While most players would play for position to save par, McIlroy took the risk and struck an impressive draw towards the green, landing the ball just beside the pin. This shot not only demonstrated McIlroy’s skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam this year.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with an Albatross at the US Open
Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses globally, and the US Open is a tournament where even a round under par can put a player in contention. Patrick Reed’s incredible shot on the 4th hole at this year’s US Open was remarkable. On the 568-meter par-5 hole, Reed took his fairway wood for his second shot and holed it from 261 meters for an albatross—the fourth in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
