TGL returns with a high-stakes rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.
The second season of TGL tees off with a familiar showdown as Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off once again on December 28. These two teams met in last season’s final, where Atlanta clinched both matches by a single point to claim the championship. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised inside the SoFi Center. The match format remains unchanged, featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams begin with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off first. Star-studded lineups include Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York, and Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC Brings Winning Formula
Atlanta enters the new TGL season with strong stats from last year. The team excelled in Singles, scoring the most Hammer points league-wide. Billy Horschel led the league in Singles points, Patrick Cantlay remained unbeaten in Singles matchups against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with flawless fairway accuracy. New York, after starting 0–2, bounced back to reach the playoffs. Cameron Young led all players in points and stood out with his powerful drives.
New Course Features and Strategic Enhancements
TGL introduces technical upgrades for Season 2. The GreenZone has been expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf allow for dynamic contour changes, enhancing tactical play. The hole catalog has also been updated, with new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote debuting. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add a personalized touch. A total of 15 specially designed holes will be played.
