TGL kicks off Season Two – Tiger Woods joins as mic’d-up host

New holes, bigger green, more cameras and signature holes: ‘We’re playing a high-tech video game,’ says Billy Horschel.

It’s Game Day: The Tomorrow’s Golf League (TGL) returns for its second season at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, running through March 3. The season opener is a rematch of last year’s final, where Atlanta Drive edged out New York on the final hole to claim the inaugural indoor golf title.

Tiger Woods joins TGL as mic’d-up team owner

While the six teams remain the same, stars like Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas are sidelined due to back surgery recoveries. However, Woods, a TGL co-owner, has promised to attend every match of his team, Jupiter Links GC, starting January 13—equipped with a microphone. The 15-time major champion is expected to add commentary and entertainment, giving fans a new perspective on his leadership and personality.

Tech upgrades and signature holes define Season Two

This season brings major technical upgrades. The green zone has expanded by 38% to nearly 500 square meters, now allowing twelve pin positions. Two of the three bunkers were enlarged, and 608 actuators now simulate realistic slopes and breaks. Wyndham Clark of The Bay notes the green is easier to read, favoring skilled putters. The artificial turf has also been modified so all chips go with the grain, enabling more creative shot-making.

Signature holes are another highlight. Each team now has a custom-designed hole reflecting its identity. New York’s ‘Big Apple’ hole features the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty, while Atlanta’s ‘Fore-O-Fore’ showcases the city’s silhouette. Gil Hanse’s ‘Stone & Steeple’ hole includes a church and graveyard, warning players that errant shots may have a short life.

More cameras, smarter visuals

The SoFi Center now boasts 79 cameras, including the award-winning SmartPin Cam offering 360-degree views from the pin’s perspective. Enhanced Virtual-Eye technology allows better shot comparisons and ball tracking. With entertainment and social media engagement at its core, TGL is banking on Tiger Woods’ presence and these innovations to boost ratings and fan interaction. Let the games begin.
