TGL Season 2 Kicks Off with Atlanta vs. New York Rematch

TGL returns with a thrilling rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

The second season of TGL tees off with a high-stakes rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club on December 28. These two teams faced off in last season’s final, where Atlanta narrowly claimed the title by a single point in both matches. The new season begins with the championship banner being raised before the action starts in the familiar format of Triples and Singles. Each team begins with three Hammers, with Atlanta opening play on the first hole. Star-studded lineups return: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York, and Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC Brings Proven Strengths

Atlanta enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a flawless fairway hit rate. New York, after a 0–2 season start, rallied to make the playoffs. Cameron Young led all players in points and made a mark with his driving distance.

New Course Features and Technical Enhancements

Season two also introduces changes to the playing field. The GreenZone has been expanded, offering more pin positions and variable putting lines. New actuators beneath the turf allow for dynamic contours, adding tactical complexity. The course now includes new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote, along with team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York. A total of 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
