TGL kicks off its second season with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York GC at the SoFi Center.
The opening match of TGL’s second season revisits the thrilling finale of the inaugural campaign. On December 28, Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club will face off once again, reprising their championship clash. Atlanta edged out New York by a single point in both final matches and enters the new season as reigning champion. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised to the rafters, followed by the match in the familiar format of Triples and Singles. Both teams begin with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off first. The lineups feature familiar stars: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC Brings Winning Formula
Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, earning the most Hammer points league-wide. Billy Horschel led the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a flawless fairway accuracy. New York GC rebounded from an 0–2 start to reach the playoffs, with Cameron Young scoring the most points of any player and showcasing his power off the tee.
New Tech Enhances TGL Playing Field
The new TGL season also brings updates to the playing environment. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf allow for dynamic contours, increasing tactical possibilities. The hole catalog has been refreshed with new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York also debut. A total of 15 specially designed holes will be played.
